Significance of Navaratri : Navaratri derived from Sanskirt language ( Nava means Nine Ratri means Night ) is the biggest festival in the Hindu religion is also called "Durga Puja" in West Bengal, "Makharotsav" in Goa also known as "Nauratri", "Navratam", "Nauratam".
